Weekend Activities

I had a pretty good last few days.

Friday- after work Dave & I went over to the batting cages in Torrance. He & I are a bunch of light weights. We hit 40 mph pitches for 45 minutes & since it was hot & we didn't have gloves on we both got a bilster on our hands... yuck, but it was SSOO fun! I think we'll make that a weekly or bimonthly tradition. The only downfall is that it's kind of expensive & we were in a not so great area. I couldn't imagine what a nice facility would cost. Anyways, it was awesome :)

Saturday-Day I went shopping for a dress to wear to the wedding I'm going to next Saturday (in Chicago!!). I HATE shopping! But, after 3 hrs of at least 6 dressing rooms & about 30-40 dresses, I was actually successful & found a dress that I'm really excited about wearing. Thank god!!! But since where I parked had a 3 hr limit, I didn't have time to find shoes or jewlery.

Saturday-Night Dave & I went to Burbank to chow down on some FUDDRUCKERS (always a delicious treat) and to hang out w/Tom which included Buffy & Angel episodes & hanging up in the hot tub.

Sunday- An IHOP opened down the street from our regular Sunday breakfast place, so we decided to test it out. The food was just ok, the service was mediocre, and it was $30 (not incuding tip), $10 more than we pay for the same meal at the other place, ug! On the way home we stopped at Out of the Closet, one of the thrift stores that we're fans of. I found a bunch of really cool mismatched plates bringing our plate count from 3 to 10. I also got a few other steals. The total should've been about $30 for everything, but the guy only charged us $20. So, we were pretty happy about that... which ironically made up for breakfast cost difference. That night we relaxed. I played WOW for the first time in about 3 weeks & we watched What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Good acting. I'd seen it before, but in my memory I thought Arnie died... I'm not sure how that happened :-P

I didn't get to bed until about 2:30 am. Starting a conversation at 12:30 am about our lives, plans, goals, recent achievements, or lack there of... doesn't result in getting to bed at a reasonable time. But it was as good of a time as any. Our minds seem to kick into high gear just after mid-night & you can't really fight nature. Just deal w/it the next day when you're tired as hell... at least it's cause you were being productive the night before :)

Summary: Good Weekend :)
